Editorial Policy
Last updated: August 4, 2026
Our purpose
WellFactum publishes practical health information, product reviews, comparisons, and educational guides designed to help readers make better-informed decisions.
Our content is intended for general informational purposes. It does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Editorial principles
We aim to make every article:
- clear and useful;
- based on credible and relevant sources;
- transparent about uncertainty and limitations;
- free from unnecessary exaggeration;
- understandable to readers without specialist knowledge;
- clearly separated from advertising and commercial influence.
We do not intentionally publish misleading health claims, guaranteed outcomes, or unsupported promises.
Sources and evidence
When preparing health-related content, we aim to use reliable sources such as:
- peer-reviewed research;
- official public-health organizations;
- government health agencies;
- medical associations;
- recognized academic and clinical institutions;
- official product labels and manufacturer documentation.
The quality of evidence may vary. We aim to distinguish between established findings, limited evidence, preliminary research, expert opinion, and manufacturer claims.
Sources should be listed or linked where they materially support the article.
Medical review
Not every article on WellFactum is medically reviewed.
When an article has been reviewed by a qualified healthcare professional, the reviewer’s name, qualifications, and review date should be displayed clearly.
Content that has not received professional medical review must not be presented as though it has.
Authors and contributors
Authors are expected to:
- research the topic carefully;
- represent sources accurately;
- avoid copying material without permission;
- disclose relevant conflicts of interest;
- distinguish facts from opinions;
- avoid overstating product benefits or scientific findings;
- update or correct content when necessary.
Author biographies should explain relevant experience and areas of expertise without making misleading claims about qualifications.
Product reviews and comparisons
Reviews and comparisons may consider factors such as:
- ingredients and product specifications;
- quality and relevance of supporting evidence;
- safety information and known limitations;
- ease of use;
- price and overall value;
- availability;
- customer support and purchasing conditions;
- suitability for the intended audience;
- realistic alternatives.
A commercial relationship does not guarantee inclusion, a positive review, or a particular ranking.
More information is available in our How We Review Products policy.
Affiliate links and commercial relationships
Some WellFactum pages may contain affiliate links. We may receive a commission when a reader purchases through one of these links.
Affiliate relationships must be disclosed clearly. They must not determine the factual conclusions of an article.
More information is available in our Affiliate Disclosure.
Use of artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence tools may be used to support research organization, outlining, language editing, translation, or drafting.
AI-generated material must not be published without human review. Editors remain responsible for checking accuracy, sources, clarity, originality, and compliance with WellFactum’s standards.
AI tools must not be treated as medical authorities or cited as primary evidence.
Conflicts of interest
Authors, editors, reviewers, and contributors should disclose financial, professional, or personal relationships that could reasonably influence their work.
Relevant disclosures should appear on the article or review when necessary.
Corrections
We aim to correct meaningful errors promptly.
Corrections may include:
- inaccurate facts;
- broken or outdated references;
- misleading wording;
- incorrect product details;
- material omissions;
- outdated medical or regulatory information.
Minor spelling or formatting changes may be made without a correction notice. Significant changes may include an updated date or correction note.
Readers may report possible errors through our Contact page.
Updates
Health research, product formulations, prices, regulations, and recommendations can change.
Articles may be reviewed and updated when new information becomes available. A visible update date does not guarantee that every external source or product detail remains unchanged.
Readers should verify time-sensitive information through current official sources.
Independence and transparency
WellFactum aims to separate editorial decisions from advertising, sponsorships, and affiliate partnerships.
Sponsored content, free products, affiliate links, and other material relationships should be disclosed clearly.
We do not accept payment in exchange for publishing false claims, hiding material risks, or guaranteeing positive coverage.
Reader responsibility
WellFactum provides general information, not personalized medical care.
Readers should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about symptoms, medication, treatment, supplements, diet, or other health matters.
