Our approach
WellFactum publishes product reviews and comparisons to help readers understand available options and make more informed purchasing decisions.
Our reviews may cover dietary supplements, wellness products, health devices, personal-care products, fitness equipment, digital services, and related products.
A review is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Product suitability depends on individual circumstances, health conditions, medication use, age, pregnancy status, allergies, and other factors.
How products are selected
Products may be selected for review because they are:
- commonly searched for by readers;
- popular within a particular category;
- newly released or recently reformulated;
- representative of a product type;
- frequently compared with competing options;
- associated with claims that require closer examination;
- available through retailers or affiliate partners.
Commercial availability or an affiliate relationship does not automatically qualify a product for inclusion.
Information we examine
Depending on the product category, our evaluation may consider:
- ingredients and active components;
- dosage, concentration, or technical specifications;
- intended purpose and target audience;
- quality of supporting evidence;
- manufacturer claims;
- safety information and warnings;
- possible side effects or interactions;
- certifications and manufacturing information;

- practical alternatives.
Not every factor applies to every product.
Evidence and product claims
We aim to distinguish between:
- claims supported by strong evidence;
- findings based on limited or preliminary research;
- traditional or common use;
- manufacturer-provided information;
- customer opinions;
- unsupported promotional claims.
The existence of a scientific study does not automatically prove that a commercial product is effective. Research may use different ingredients, dosages, formulations, populations, or conditions from those found in the reviewed product.
We do not treat marketing language as independent evidence.
Product testing
WellFactum may not physically test every product discussed on the website.
When a product has been tested directly, the review should explain what was tested, for how long, under what conditions, and by whom.
When a review is based on research, specifications, labels, available evidence, or public information rather than direct testing, this should not be represented as hands-on experience.
Ratings and rankings
Some reviews or comparisons may include ratings, scores, rankings, badges, or recommendations.
These may reflect factors such as:
